Division of Institutional Economics

The Division of Economic Institutions conducts both theoretical and empirical research on the role of institutions in economic growth and development. It examines key issues related to economic institutions in Vietnam and around the world, analyzes institutional reform processes, evaluates the quality of public governance, and proposes effective institutional frameworks to support the development of Vietnam's market economy.

The Division also studies the institutional foundations, policy frameworks, and operational mechanisms of the economy across different historical contexts. In addition, it undertakes research on institutions and policies that promote the transition to a green economy, foster the development of a circular economy, and advance sustainable development.
