The Division of International Economics and Integration conducts research on both the theoretical foundations and practical issues of international economics and international economic relations. Its research focuses on major trends shaping the global economy, including developments in international trade, investment, and global financial systems.

The Division also examines the interrelationships between economic development and political, social, environmental, scientific and technological, and global security factors. In addition, it analyzes Vietnam’s international economic integration process and assesses its impacts on the country's economic development, competitiveness, and long-term growth.
