Division of Macroeconomics and Forecasting
The
Division of Macroeconomics and Forecasting is responsible for conducting theoretical and empirical research on macroeconomics. It analyzes and evaluates the overall performance and trends of Vietnam’s macroeconomy, assesses the sustainability of economic growth, and examines the stability of major macroeconomic balances in relation to regional and global economic developments.
The Division also undertakes research on economic growth models, theories of economic growth and development, and national development strategies. In addition, it develops and applies modern quantitative methods and macroeconomic modeling techniques to design, operate, and improve forecasting systems. These forecasting models provide scientific evidence and analytical support for the formulation of socio-economic development guidelines, strategies, and public policies.
